Shopify Frontend Developer

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality web pages using HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), and JavaScript (ES6+), based on design mockups and project specifications, while adhering to the Shopify theme structure.
• Utilize the Shopify Liquid templating language to develop dynamic content and features, and customize Shopify's default themes as needed.
• Develop responsive web pages optimized for various device environments including PC, tablet, and mobile, and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Ensure implementation complies with web standards and accessibility guidelines, providing a seamless and user-friendly store experience for all users.
• Continuously enhance user experience through Web Performance Optimization (WPO), including page load speed improvements and image optimization.
• Collaborate with the QA team to diagnose and rectify front-end functional and UI/UX related errors, ensuring service stability.
• Work closely with marketing and development teams to implement and deploy new features, promotional pages, and landing pages.
• Actively participate in code management and code reviews using version control systems like Git.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Deep understanding and practical development experience with Shopify theme structure and Liquid templating language (Mandatory).
• Extensive experience in developing responsive web pages and resolving cross-browser compatibility issues across various browsers and device environments.
• Ability to implement web solutions based on a strong understanding of web standards and accessibility.
• Experience in collaborative development and version control using Git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to foster a positive team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with frameworks/libraries such as Node.js, React, or Vue.js (experience with Shopify Headless Commerce is a plus).
• Extensive experience in Web Performance Optimization.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and proficiency with design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Understanding of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
• Experience participating in Agile/Scrum development processes.
